🦃 Friday Five - 5 Recipes to Use Up Thanksgiving Leftovers!

Published over 1 year ago • 2 min read

A small ask before getting to the goods: if you do any shopping on Amazon this holiday season, would you do it through my Amazon storefront?

All you have to do is CLICK HERE to get to it, then search for whatever you're shopping for (you don't have to actually buy anything from my storefront). It absolutely helps me out at no additional cost to you. Thanks for your support!

Every Friday I send out 5 recipes to help you plan your meals. For the month of November, these recipes will be centered around Thanksgiving! Take a look below and see which of these recipes you want to make to celebrate the holiday.

Hi Reader!

Did you have a good Thanksgiving? My family and I did, and I hope you did too.

While the day after Thanksgiving often features still-full stomachs and even fuller refrigerators, today I've got five recipes to help you make the most out of your holiday leftovers (plus a bonus!).

These recipes will help you turn Thanksgiving food into something new and different, so it doesn't feel like you're eating the same thing over and over again. Check them out and see which one you want to make this weekend!

Turkey Enchilada Casserole (GF) - Flip the traditional flavor of Thanksgiving turkey on its head with these turkey enchiladas! Comforting and delicious, this is a great day-after dinner that can feed any family staying over.

Turkey & Rice Soup (GF, DF) - This soup is a great way to use up leftover Thanksgiving turkey. A total comfort food for cold nights, this recipe is full of vegetables, turkey, and rice for a healthy dinner made of holiday leftovers.

Leftover Turkey Chili (GF) - This chili is based off an infamous recipe from Deer Valley Resort, but made gluten free (and just a little bit healthier). Thankfully you don't have to head to the hills of Utah to enjoy this smoky and delicious chili!

Cranberry Orange Muffins (GF) - These muffins are a tasty way to use up leftover cranberry sauce. The tartness of the cranberries combines with the brightness of an orange to make a soft and tasty muffin. Naturally sweetened with maple syrup, these are perfect for breakfast or a light snack.

Mashed Potato Pancakes (GF) - These potato pancakes use leftover mashed potatoes and shredded cheese to make a simple and savory gluten free dish. Made with cassava flour, they're great for snacking or as a side dish.

BONUS! 30+ Leftover Turkey Recipes
If you've got lots of turkey left, then check out this roundup to help you get the most out of your bird. .

If any of these recipes are helpful for you this Thanksgiving, please be sure and leave your comments with a positive review on the website!

I love hearing about the recipes you make and it helps other people find my recipes when you leave a review.

And stay tuned for emails in December to help you celebrate the holidays!

Happy cooking!

Hi Reader, Let's talk leftovers for a second. Leftover protein is one of my favorite things because you can easily turn it into another meal. For leftover grilled chicken, I typically throw it in a bowl with whatever I have on hand and serve it up for dinner. If you need ideas for how the heck to do that, check out one of these recipes: Grilled Chicken Burrito Bowl OR Grilled Chicken Taco Salad Both are super easy to make, especially if you're using things like canned beans or microwavable...

Hi Reader, If you don't know, I've been a grilling machine for several years. But I didn't start out that way. When I began I was unsure of how the heck to grill without completely ruining my meat. It seemed like I just couldn't get it right - things were either pink in the middle (when they weren't supposed to be) or way overdone. Until I changed how I was thinking. I was used to cooking recipes for a certain amount of TIME. I had to start cooking recipes to a certain TEMPERATURE. Once I did...

Hi Reader! This week we're talking about one of my favorite cuts of meat - ground beef. It's relatively cheap, it's easy to cook, and it's easy to flavor. Today I've got five ground beef recipes that my family returns to over and over again. Consider adding one (or more) to your meal plan for the weekend or next week - including one that you might want to save for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day.
